A "Late Bloomer," Patricia Rohovit picked up a brush for the first time when she retired to Arnold CA. She began taking lessons from Martha Wallace, where hard work paid off, and was recognized by Sunset Magazine for her local scene of "Aspens Over the Pass."
Since that time she has taken workshops with Robert Reynolds, Dale Laitinen, and Jane Hofstetter, and served a three-year term as President of Arts of Bear Valley. This included an annual show each summer, at the Bear Valley Music Festival along with forty local artists.
Her Art has been included and sold at the Professional Division Show at the Jumping Frog of Calaveras County Fair, Mother Lode Art Association Annual Exhibit, Fire House Gallery, Lodi "Art on the Square," as well as the Spring Obsession at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. She is a member of Golden Palette, Arts of Bear Valley and Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society. She has been accepted into juried shows in Sacramento, California, Mother Lode Annual Show in Sonora, as well as honors at the Santa Clara Watercolor Society's Fall Show.
She is best known for her "Big Brush" technique, with large explosions of color, huge flowers, and abstract Art. All are works of deep feelings for her craft.
